Luis 'Caloy' Javier

President, CEO and Chairman of the Board Term 2014 – 2018, Joshua Group Head Servant 2002 - 2014, Member of Board of Director, Joshua Evangelization Group, Inc.

In the beginning, when the group was formed in 2002, it was commonly called the “Joshua Group”. At that time, Caloy Javier was chosen as the Head Servant. Thereafter in 2014, the group was incorporated and aptly named the Joshua Evangelization Group, Inc. He was then it’s first President, CEO and Chairman of the Board until 2018. He first got involved in the renewal after attending a Life in the Spirit Seminar on April, 1996 where he met Bro. Conrad Felix for the first time. Then, together with wife Len, he attended an ME weekend retreat on November of that same year. They were part of the 29 couples of ME Class 2 held in Montego Bay in Cape May, NJ. He also became a member of the Holy Family Prayer Community based at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Woodbridge, NJ and later of the Holy Trinity Prayer Group based at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Piscataway, NJ. Since then, his journey has never been the same until he laid low from the community in 2006 for family reasons. Unfortunately, Joshua Group’s existence and its activities also came to a standstill and took a hiatus. On May 2011, by God’s grace, the organization decided to re-activate and together with most of its founding members recommitted themselves to continue what was started and pledged a more concerted and active undertaking.

As of today, since it’s launching in September 19, 2015, JEG has a total membership of 42 individuals consisting of 20 couples and 2 singles who are all actively pursuing to acquire a building to centralize all activities of the Koinonia Foundation Inc. (KFI)- ME Ministry. He is also involved in the Youth Ministry as the Head Servant of the Youth Board from 2015 thru 2018 and member of YB2 till the present time. This Board manages the evangelization activities which are catered for the youth and young adults of the community. Likewise, he was also involved in the Marriage Encounter Ministry where he was a member of the ME Board I and as well as the past- Head Servant of ME Board II. Caloy was born in Cotabato City, Philippines into a family that consists of 5 boys and 6 girls. He attended public school for his elementary education and went onto an all-boy’s Notre Dame High School and graduated in 1973. Eventually, he attended college at the University of Santo Tomas situated in Manila on a government scholarship and has earned a degree in Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering in 1978. With wife Len, they have an only son, Samuel, who is now 21 years old and a 3rd year student at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Since joining the renewal in 1996 and up until the present time, he has devoted his life to serve in the Lord’s vineyard and be passionate to help acquire a center to house the evangelization activities of the Koinonia community and have a home to call our own. All of this believing that ultimately God will bless this community of a center that it greatly deserves. At present, he continues to serve the youth and young adults of the community thru the Youth Board. And, since he turned over the leadership duties of JEG to the new President, he will remain active with JEG as the head of the Advisory Committee.
